Vaesen: Hangman

A house rule for the Vaesen TTRPG

As written, the Vaesen TTRPG does not give PCs a way to make surefire breakthroughs in the nature of the Vaesen they are hunting. Because of this, the game is reliant on the GM providing information and the PCs ability to interpret that information. The Hangman system eventually tells players exactly what they are dealing with regardless of their ability to piece together clues.

To further give players ways to investigate Vaesen and take the burden of clues off of the GM, allow them to use Wikipedia and/or their local library as a resource. The goal of allowing them to access out of game information is that the players feel like they’re Bella in this scene from the 2008 film Twilight.
